A group of people with learning disabilities chose to set up their own Co-production Group. They have called the group Jargon Busters.

The Jargon Busters first project was to make a film showing how people with learning disabilities are used to working in a Co-productive way. The film was premiered at the LDPB Celebration of Learning Disability Projects on March 25th 2024.

The Jargon Busters Co-production Group decided to work on a second project. This would look at how to get more people with learning disabilities to join the Learning Disability Partnership Board.

The Jargon Busters were asked to think about supporting council officers to make SEND information easier to understand. SEND is short for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The group felt that as the parents of SEND children and young people can also have needs they would like to look at reasonable adjustments first.
