Cuckooing – this is when someone who you think is your friend uses your home to sell or hide drugs.

  • Cuckooing is when someone who you think is your friend uses your home to make, sell or hide drugs.

  • Your fake friend may take over your home.
  • Your fake friend may invite their friends to your home and eat your food.
  • Your fake friend may ask you to look after something you wouldn’t want in your home. For example: a knife or a gun.
  • A real friend would not ask you to do these things.
  • If you are worried that you are a victim of cuckooing it is important to tell someone. Choose someone that you trust. Do not tell your fake friend.
  • You could talk to a police officer, doctor, advocate or practice nurse.
